RoI for Raven Feast?
Is Raven Feast of interest? Even with hundreds of corpses in a province, I only get an handful of death gems, barely more compared to the 5 air gems invested in first hand.

Re: RoI for Raven Feast?
Can it be used to take away corpses from an opponent ? just wondering as that was what I imagined that it could be used for ?

Re: RoI for Raven Feast?

Yeah, it tends to be paltry but I don't know of any other spell that gives you gems from another path. This can be somewhat useful if you set things up to take advantage of it and your death gem income isn't up to par. Air magic is so useful already. This is just icing. But is it more cost efficient than alchemizing those air gems?

But is it more cost efficient than alchemizing those air gems? Well, excluding clam hoarding, let's say you have 12 air gems. Alchemize them to 6 astral gems and then alchemize that to 3 death. Raven feast I guess would net at best about 5 death for 5 air, perhaps more, but is very situational. Plus alchemy is instant. Raven's feast requires a significant air mage level which could cost you more air gems to attain that level if you didn't have it on a pretender and add that to having to wait a turn on casting for investment. Hrmmm, bleh. Yeah I guess raven's feast would have to be changed to net a more significant gain of death gems before one would want to invest in casting it over alchemizing. With its situational nature one would think that it would net more than it does. Good point Cainehill!

Re: RoI for Raven Feast?
Raven's Feast has a pretty nice synergy with death spells that create corpses. I haven't yet tested it, but I imagine some of the province and global spells would work nicely with it.
If you got alot of gems out of Raven's Feast, this would easily become overpowered IMHO.

Re: RoI for Raven Feast?
Well, I never tested after firing a black death on a juicy province. Has someone managed to do that?

Of course, those most likely to have access to and use of the major death spells have a hard to get at Raven's Feast unless they specifically design their pretender for that purpose.
