With the wings the knight would have to lift the mount with his leggs.

That's what I was thinking... the squashed horse issue. However I thought I was able to do so, but the only time I tried was in the original Dominions, not Doms 2.

Yeah, me too. You know, if this is the case, devs could as well add another small ability-type icon, indicating this "squashed horse" restriction.


Something like 4 horse's legs spreaded in all directions, from under the huge monolith-type object...

I've never been able to equip Monolith armor on horsemen, in Dom-PPP. Haven't tried in Dom2. I remember equipping Aseftik's Armor on a mounted hero (again in Dom-PPP), but I suppose there is some way for the devs to program items so that they are not equippable for certain types of units.
