So, let me get this straight. According to you, there is no doubt ("undoubtedly") that an event has occurred which is, in some meaningful way, similar ("something of this sort") to Saber Cherry having died in a gruesome fishing accident. You are certain of it.

This is despite that fact that the most common reason (by a looong way) for people disappearing from forums is a loss of commitment or interest in the forum topic.

My view on this is supported, but not proved, by the fact that at the time in question, she dropped out of a game in which she was allied with me, saying she just couldn't face hours of turn preparation any more.

I think that, contrary to your rumour, SC just got a life.

After posting this, I emailed Saber Cherry. I regret to report that there has been no reply in a week, from which I infer that she has either lost her internet access completely, or there's something in the rumours.

I also sent an official one from Shrapnel asking if Saber was going to continue maintaining the newbie sticky or should I seek a replacement. This was prior to the conversation here. I was able to verify that it was received into the mailbox but I have had no responses.

Ive always made light about my 16 hour a day virtual lifestyle. But this conversation, and a like one in the SEIV forum where they recently lost a member, has made me realize in all seriousness that if I want to properly inform everyone and have it properly attended, I will have to have my funeral Online. That seems like a giggle but Im serious.

Well a web cam at your funeral might be going a bit far,

but it's a simple matter to put something in your will or whatever to have your executor visit your regular Online haunts and post an official notice of your passing.
