Race Relations and Maximum Treaty Level
Has anyone else noticed that quite a few races are establishing relations above that permitted in their files?
In my recent game, the Shadows and Rage are in Partnership (????) despite Shadows being limited to Military Alliance and Rage limited to Trade Alliance.
Anyone else observed this?

Re: Race Relations and Maximum Treaty Level
I have the same problem in my game - see "TDM-Modpack politics in really big game"
I started by manually adding the races I wanted without doing an edit on the race. Then as each empire came up I turned on all the ministers and selected players "controlled by computer". If you do it that way not all the race specific files are used, certainly not the one that specifies maximum treaty level. I sent an email to MM but got no reply. Why not send an email yourself ? If enough of us do it, then we may at least get a solid yes or no reply on a bug fix. What is needed is a button in the empires AI selection list to specify use race specific files. Sometimes you might want the default as is, though I can not imagine why.

Err.. that's already there. Right below comptuer controlled or not is a box that let's you select "style from race" or "using selected style". Selecting style from race greys out the minister button.

I meant once the game has already started, put an option under the Empire Status icon, under the Ministers button, added to the list of buttons on the right the same option as in edit empire - "Using style from selected race".

Re: Race Relations and Maximum Treaty Level
It has been mentioned in an other topic on this forum and concurs with my observation, that if you have an empire selected as human player, even with full AI switched on, some AI files (politics, settings) are not used. I had the same problem with the Borg making partnership treaties, but when I switched them to computer player it didn't happen anymore.

Re: Race Relations and Maximum Treaty Level
I should have added, that like LCC, I had manually selected the races and then set them to use race style.....
