Trust me, both the ship and starbase are rendered .3ds Versions of the (.x) models used in se5. The artist working on the 3d models is doing (and has done) an excellent job.

The proof is in the pudding as they say..

I must say it is looking good, I can only hope all the models are as good! (looks like I will need a new comp!, since Starfury is only just playable on mine

..as you can see no mention of the 'phong' but you never know, the game still has a lot of dev left.

Sounds great. I imagine once we all learn how to make these ships all the old SEIV races will be redone by somebody... I imagine half the fan created shipsets will be as well

I guess when it comes out we'll have to renew the "Phongs Head Cantina and Bar Grill" brand to another alien species

who is doing the modles for se5?

himnnn now with se5 comming closer people are going to look at my name and think "what a clown, naming himself after a game." let me just say here and now that my handel has NOTHING to do with the game. go google it.(hint - WWI)

Interesting... all this time I just thought you meant you wanted to be an alpha tester for SE5 or something
