Re: most apologetic, subs needed for 4 games
Madre di dios, djtool! You're the _second_ person to post their passwords publicly, meaning that _all_ their games need to be set to AI, because _ANYONE_ can screw with the orders for those games now.
We need a bloody bumper sticker, "If you're stupid and you know it, post your password".
Remember! Passwords can't be changed, so posting your password publicly invites unethical people to ... use that password, either to modify orders, or to look at battle plans and orders.
Sweet mother of morons. _EMAIL_ a password when you have a replacement, don't post it. Or do people a favor and simply set your positions to AI, if you really don't have enough time to spend arranging a replacement.

Re: most apologetic, subs needed for 4 games
omg djtool at least edit your post. then hopefully no one who's seen it cares. that really does screw the games you're in quite somewhat
sorry you can't continue playing though.
also having just been bitten by the "forced stale if you're in the game and do someone's turn even if using master password to set the game to AI" there's no way in hell i'm going to screw myself over again.

I think you can avoid this if you can arrange to submit the turns from different IP addresses. That's what I'm going to try to do in Faerun Folly in a couple of hours if no-one shows up prepared to play Pangaea with a compromised password.

Re: most apologetic, subs needed for 4 games
the message says "CD key violation" so I would worry if both turns come from installations of the same copy of Dom II. Better to find some trusted third party, like sheap , to set the player to AI. That's what I should have done.

Re: most apologetic, subs needed for 4 games
This issue was discussed in the thread MP Game - Faerun Folly and re-reading it, I see Kristoffer O saying that you need to do both turns from the same machine, same IP, to avoid the stale. That's how I understand his post, anyway.

Re: most apologetic, subs needed for 4 games
ehh, that's what i did when it happened to me. same machine, same ip. which makes sense, if it is a cd key violation.
anyways, I can set him to AI for you - where do I download whatever Version of faerum is being used?

Re: most apologetic, subs needed for 4 games
Arryn's site has it, I think.
EDIT: No, on second thought it might be Gandalf's.
Just a moment, I'll see if i can find the URL.
EDIT: http://www.dom2minions.com/~tmpspace/
(Faerun.zip) if the Version from Arryn doesn't work (but it should).
