Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
The dominions 2 cd-key is stored in the key file in your dominions directory.
Try opening it with notepad and replacing what's inside with the cd-key in your manual.
Should look something like xxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx where x is a number.
Also download latest 2.13 patch and then you can patch game with patch 2.14 .

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
To the best of my knowledge, there are other kinds of keys around; at least, I think the first print was 4-4-4-4 (my own is 5-4-4-3). At any rate, your key should work once you are past the first time it asks for it. If it was invalid, the game would have complained there.
There might have been interference from the patchs if you had applied the patch before typing the key. It did work for me when I went straight for 2.14 though. Did you apply another patch (2.13 for example) instead of 2.14? Did you put the game in the same repertory as the demo? That would be unlikely, but your problem seems quite strange.
The 2.14 patch will work fine as a direct patch, assuming you are under Windows. There is a problem with the Mac Version (and possibly others) though, as Kristoffer pointed out in the 2.14 thread. Do you use any OS except Windows? If so, it might be the problem.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
lillumultipass, was it a network game? If so, probably what happened is that the game called in to Illwinter's server, which informed the game that that CD key was compromised or already in use or something. In that case, either it's a problem with the server or a problem with the key, and either way you should talk to Illwinter.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
Thx Molog, you saved my life :-)
Now, it works, I just installed patch 2.13 and then it was ok, so I installed 2.14 and it is still working so everything is fine!!!
As you have said Alneyan, it should have worked directly as I am on Windows XP, but as long as it works now...

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
It might have worked for me because I was playing a TCP/IP game, while you were playing a singleplayer game. For the sake of curiosity, I will make another try one of these days, but with a singleplayer game. Either it was something fishy on your computer, or an unfortunate side effect of the patch; I have no clue about the former (I am computer illeterate after all), but the latter would be useful for Illwinter to know.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!
I have been unable to reproduce your problem, though it has been on my own computer (with Dominions uninstalled and removed from the registry).
TCP/IP games require a server, among which is the mother of all, Mosehansen.dk (putting this as IP may work for some computers, though a few have run into problems with this "IP"). You would need the port of a game and a slot in this game to actually test server play however. I would have given you my password to my own TCP/IP, but it is currently stopped, so that would be quite useless for now.
