Re: OT - The Lost
Ok, thanks for the review. Hopefully they'll repeat in the future and I can catch it then. I know in the old movie I saw with Lloyd Bridges, it was a boar, and they finally were able to kill it. I guess they had roast pork that night

Re: OT - The Lost
hmmm,.. a plane crash, and the survivors are stuck on an island,.. hmmmm. sounds like a modernized Version of something in my memory.. If they were survivors of a shipwreck, and one was a professor instead of a doctor, there does seem to be a 'star' of some sort, and did the 'pilot' (aka captain) survive? hmmmm, yes it all seems familiar,.. but then again they put a 'modern twist' on the idea,.. make it a drama instead of a comedy. My only problem is there are way too many 'dramas' on tv as it is, they should have made this a comedy.
But, then again, I can always switch to 'Deja Vue' channel and have my cake and eat it too.
LOL, Cheers!

"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
a tale of a mighty trip
that started from this tropic port
aboard this tiny ship
The mate was a mighty sailing man
the skipper brave and sure
five passengers set sail that day
for a three hour tour, a three hour tour.."
Umm, yeah, used to come home in the afternoons and watch reruns of Gilligans Island and the old original Star Trek.
woof, you can tell I'll never see 40 again, can't you?

Same here. I used to live to watch Star Trek after school. Gilligan's Island, Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, etc. My wife watches TV Land almost every evening, when she isn't watching Soapnet. Unfortunately, since I get to watch my son in the evenings, I don't get much chance to watch those old shows. I'm hoping my son will get interested in those shows eventually, because I'm getting tired of the stuff on Disney Channel.

I tend to agree with you for the most part, we need more good comedies. But I have to admit, I do love a good drama more than any comedy-emphasis on GOOD. Richard and I are anxiously waiting for "24" to start!

Now there is a Great! show. '24' is one of the few 'new' ideas in a TV drama to hit the screen in a long time. very well written and excellent cast.
I was a big fan of west wing, but when Aaron Sorkin left the writing team and Rob Lowe left the show, the quality seems to have dropped. And what's up with the new style of having the camera follow the actors all over the place, way too much movement, they should go back to the old style.
..and, I didn't say I didn't like dramas, just that there were way too many saturating the TV right now.
Cheers!

Re: OT - The Lost
As far as drama, I love 24. Hope the new one (which won't start until January) meets the expectations of the past shows. But with a new president, unless this "day" happens before the current prez ends his term, I hope the chemistry isn't change too much. But I didn't really like the republican candidate. He was too scheming. We'll see. That's about the only drama show I make an effort to watch. I did watch one episode of Hawaii, and it seemed pretty good. Almost like a modern Version of Hawaii 5-0. Never have watched West Wing, and I don't plan to. maybe it's good, but with Martin Sheen's known political leanings, I don't want to watch it. And what the heck is NBC doing? Every time I turn around, there's another Law and Order show being made. It maybe a good show, but come on, how many spin-offs can you make out of a show? I think only Happy Days is about the only other show that had so many spinoffs associated with it (Mork & Mindy, Laverne & Shirly, Chachi & Joanie). I'm surprised Fonzi didn't get his own show after Happy Days was canceled.

CSI is catching up as well. You have the original, then Miami and now New York. But I don't mind, I love that show.

Re: OT - The Lost
My favorite show right now, and close to my favorite show of all time is Law and Order: Criminal Intent. But I was just thinking the other day the show probably suffers because it's part of the L&O brand. I think it would get more respect if it had been given it's own name and could be treated as it's own show.
