Default Funny things happened

Sometimes I'm really amazed by what the AI does. I ran into the Drushocka in the 3rd turn of a new game and these idoits kept sending ships to my home system, claimed it in the name of who-ever in MY face! I actually appreciated the intrusions 'cause I wanted to teach them a lesson on allegiance subverters! A few of their crews decided that I'm such a great ruler that they came and joined with their ships. The Drushocka then decided that I've "pushed them into a corner" and declared war on me! HEHEHE! How funny that sounded!

Sometimes the diplomacy AI can do some pretty funny things. That's why PBW is so much fun. People don't do that screwball stuff.

The single most important thing all the AIs are lacking is the ability to learn, but to be honest I don't think anybody in the world has developed a learning AI program yet. In my game I'm already no.1 by a hugh margin only 15 or so turns into the game, and I have close to 30 ships compared to 4 for the no.2. The reason? My two AI neighbours kept delivering their new cruisers straight to my refitting yards turn after turn! They should know better than to charge head first into my waiting subverters!

Well, there are experimental AIs (and a few applied ones) that can learn... its just that writing them is tough work. Its complex. All I know is that its really complex.

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.
