Uh while we are at it...i need to learn how to texture ! ive been doing a lot of models/grafics lately but i just cant figure out how to proper texture (texturing at all) a model..

any suggestions ? I know its about assigning a UV map, but thats about it..

What program are you using for your models?

CG art link with tons of info on different apps.
