I had a full (all major races) Trek tech mod before my HD died. I'm working on it again, and its turning out to be more balanced this time.
I’ve got the feds almost done now. They have:
Warp cores – 4 levels (bonuses for strategic and combat movement, shield regeneration, and supply)
Warp engines – 4 levels (for strategic movement)
Impulse engines – 5 levels (for combat movement)
Phasers – 12 levels (enhanced APB)
Phaser cannon – 3 levels (enhanced WMG)
Pulse phasers – 3 levels (less range than standard phasers, more damage)
Photon torps – 5 levels (enhanced a/m torps)
Quantum torps – 5 levels (enhanced qtorp)
Mini photons – 1 level (50% size, 75% damage)
Mini quantum torps – 1 level (same as above)
That’s all for now. I still have to do sensor packages and shields, and maybe some super weapons/comps.
For the sake of accuracy I was thinking to make the feds the best balanced. I’d give the Klingons better weapons shields and armor, lacking with sensors and engines, maybe even reducing cost for them so they can build faster. Romulans would have better with cloaks and sensors, lacking engines and shields, and comparable weapons to the feds. The Dominion would have better with engines and weapons (early on) and have their comps cost 30-40% less to let them build fast like they did on DS9
Once I get things half ways sorted out, maybe I’ll release it, probably in parts, one race at a time. For now, my major focus is on getting the SFC ships done. I’m working with some of the biggest names in that community. I’ve got about 30 done (all klingons and romulans) and 140(!!!) or so to go. I’ve decided I’m not going to make them into ship sets, but rather release them by artist, and let people add them to their sets the way they want to. Personally, I like adding all (making the new hull sizes racial techs) the ships, my fed set has 45 right now. It ain’t practical, but in a good hotseat battle (maybe even role playing?), it can be very confusing to you opponents, and it just looks hella cool.
Oh I almost forgot, S_J, I've got a bunch of Orion Pirates ships form the TNG era. I havent gotten permission from the guy to convert them yet, but when I do would you like to make them part of the P&N mod?

If that is just a shipset, no prob. I could post a link to in the P&N download thread. If you've got an AI for it too, use my patcher on it before you upload.

Feel free to use any of the ship sets I have compiled. (Except the Ghost TOS set) That set can only be used in its entirety.

I would suggest taking a stock AI, run it through my AI Patcher, then modding it to fit your shipset.

Hey S.J. What does your ai patcher do? Is it just a tool to convert standard races to gold or does it actually help modify ai files without having to open every .txt doc for every ai and going line by line? If anyone has such a tool please be so good as to upload it or e-mail it to me. I'm goin blind from trying to adjust 5 files apiece for 20 races.
