unless you wanted to go totally nuts and build in little game-ballancing features like charts to analyze damage ratios for new components you are creating, or ability bonus vs resource costs vs tech requirements for new facilities. I dont think it would need to let you drag and drop abilities or anything, but maybe easy access to the abilities.txt (like in the map editor) would be handy.
