Unfortunately, to get my wife to work on time, I have to get up at 4:30 am, take a shower, get dressed for work, then after my wife gets ready and gets my son ready, we leave around 5:15 so she can be at work at 6:00. Then I'll park across the street at a Publix and take a nap until 7:30 so I can be at work at 8:00. Let's hear it for an exciting life!!
Even though I get up early, I find myself not going to bed until around midnight, unless I fall asleep watching tv in my recliner first. Even with my nap after taking my wife to work, I'm still tired most of the day. To get my 8 hours of "required" sleep in, I'd have to go to bed at 8:30, and that's just too dang early. Heck, my son doesn't even fall asleep until 10:00 or so.
