It doesn't really. Being Mega Evil Empire induces paranoia, and things of the like. It is so annoying to have a flashing target painted on your back when you have a lot of human neighbours everywhere. Always suspecting allies, looking for the Empire(s) who would jump on you at the slightest sign of aggression, and Empires going AI need to be taken down without arousing fear.

So MEE is certainly no sinecure in multiplayer games. But don't tell anyone I said that. In fact, forget you have met me, I am not sure I trust you. I am quite positive you are plotting in my back, despite all your claims of friendship and all. Hmm... Nay, just kidding, you were actually the Empire I distrusted the least in TGE3.
