Re: SE.net Down?
I gotta wonder, how does a Java IRC client manage to bring down a webserver.. Java is client-side after all. O.o

Re: SE.net Down?
jIRC clients usually connect through the server they're hosted on, AFAIK.

Re: SE.net Down?
SE.net is down again - same sort of problem as before...
Oh well. Perhaps I can attract more attention to my site!

Yeah, my site will do that.

Both your site and SE.net are great sites. I espeically love SE.net though. It seems to me that it is beginning to take hold with others as the forum has become more and more active.
I love how your site looks and the news you post on Kwok. Come to think of it, your site and SE.net are the only non shrapnel forums that I visit now on a regular bases regarding SE IV. When was the last time any of you visit universal ship yards, or the Kaut drive yards?

Re: SE.net Down?
What I really need is more interesting content to lure SE surfers. Perhaps the fact that the Space Food Empires site is currently up and in the process of being updated might help. Find it at it's new home below:
http://www.sfe.captainkwok.net/home.html
Keep in mind, the space yards and technology section are currently being updated and have mostly placeholder pages in place. However, the features, empires, and a few other pages are up to date. I should have the remainder of the more interesting technology pages up by the end of the night.

Depends on what kind of Java you're talking about here...
Java can be both client side and server side.
Right now, I'm doing the unholy task of optimizing Java code... as big of an oxymoron that is.
