on a serious note though, much of the system shock art is very Gieger-esque. My favorite imagery is probably the cortex-reavers from the first game.

What about some cool new COMPONENT and FACILITY pictures? Sure, it's great to have new races, even some 'joke' races like the "Bubba" idea or the Coneheads (the cruiser from the movie would be a good start for a shipset). But if every ship contains the exact same components it's less fun than having some really different technologies. SOmeone made that "warp core" component that appears in several mods now. It's a really nice component picture. There must be some more good images for components and even facilities that could be added to the existing set?

Several people have thought the idea of a ship set based on Aliens would be cool if it had enough ships.

The solution is to mix similar looking ship styles from three different sources. This should give enough ships for a set.

They are SAAB, Aliens, and Starship Troopers (Both movie and cgi series).

The Saratoga, Nostromo, Sulaco, Rodger Young, Hammerheads, Cheyenne Dropships, ISSCVs, Various groundtroops, and many others.

Someone has already posted the Saratoga and Hammerhead.

Well I am just back from a week up in Northern Ontario. If some one did a race on insects like Deer flys and Black flys. I would surrender all my planets to them with out a fight. Unless I had some sticky stuff on my hat. Off, well that just atracks them.

I think there was even Moose Flies

An Insect race that kicks Klaxions butts.
