Re: 100 Most Satisfying Moments in SEIV
37. When you finnally finish your stellar manipulation ships for the first time, and slip a star destroying into the enemies homesystem via a created warppoint, then close it on the same turn.

Re: 100 Most Satisfying Moments in SEIV
K, this isn't an SEIV moment, but SEII. But it's the most satisfying point of my SE career.
Finding a Demo version for SEII and playing it for days on end. Then asking a friend (had no internet at that time) to find info for ordering the full version. He called the next day to tell me that he could not find SEII anywhere (paused just long enough for me to start feeling disappointed), then tells me that he found, bought for me, and already downloaded the full version of SEIII!!!

Re: 100 Most Satisfying Moments in SEIV
My most satisfying moment in SEIV has to be when I played the Star Trek Mod, and having the first round of diplomatic negotiations between me and the Gorn end with their reply:
"Here is a pile of S***! Enjoy!"
I laughed so hard I farted.

Well, it's true. That has to be one of the most inane things for a diplomat to say to another. How can you expect results when offering excrement?

Another one of those "Oops, I'm screwed" things...
63. Opening up a PBW turn-file, and noticing that a good ally of yours has opened 6 warp points and deployed nearly 20 star destroyers to all your systems, has them poised over all your stars except for one where it's two moves away, and over all you're closest partner's stars...
...Yep, that just happened to me. So much for a trusted ally...and so much for me and my partner I can stop the one star destroyer, and maybe salvage some of my fleet to go on a revenge destroying spree, but that's about it...bummer.

64. Capturing some population from all the 19 races other than your own, and putting them all in a nice zoo starbase.

On the other side of things... Finally finishing your Diabolical Evil Master Plan that you've been working on for the past 30 or so turns to wipe out all known Deeply Religious empires simultaneously (Yes Renegade, that means Yor!rek is going down too - I've got 30 of them, and I'm using them all). I just hope no one's built any system grav. shields. As for the "trusted ally" bit, since when does a mere T&R grant that status? Also, you can thank the bad pathing algorithm for the one star destroyer not in position. If it had followed the path it was supposed to instead of taking one of the new warp points, it would be there already.

Re: 100 Most Satisfying Moments in SEIV
Ctrl+RMB always gets 'em..... 'specially when you tag the first one of a bunch that is landing in your kill zone. As soon as they land, they're dead.
But back to topic.
Seeing that a mod you made has been downloaded, and thus knowing that it is playing on PCs all over the world..... or at least in the USA/Canada
