Whew! Just spent the last 4 hours working on the rest of the "main" ships, Escort through to dreadnought. Many have been revised, the old dreadnought pic from about 20 posts ago has been turned into a large carrier, with a new and improved dreadnought taking it's place. Here's a pic with all ships, escort-dread at 128x128, the portrait size they appear in-game:

Pretty good, although the first two groups of three don't really distinguish themselves enough.

No, I'm using Bryce 5.
Narf, I would also like them to be more distinctive, but for the time being I'm satisfied with them as they are. Distictiveness is certainly a goal, but I think they're OK as is...until I decide I don't like them and revise them
