Default Re: What Game R -U Playing now?

Space Empires IV, Tribes Vengeance, Sim City 4 Rush Hour, Far Cry, and Star Wars Jedi Outcast.

I enjoy all of the games, say for the multiplayer aspect of T:V as it is rampant with cheating and VUG has suspended all support for the game. We told them in the beta to address the cheating issue or they would loose sales. They did not, and they have. The unreal game engine is ripe for cheating, as America's Army has discovered. Oh well.

I enjoy playing Sim City 4 Rush Hour because it is kinda releaxing to lay down some roads and plant some zones and watch things grow. However I wish that the game had the same appeal as SC3 had. For some reason the new region map system, albeit a novel idea, limits the size of a lot of the cities, and the region terraforming system sucks horribly when compared to that of SC3.

Space Empires IV is by far the most addictive of all the games I have ever played. However addition comes at a heavy price as I find myself burned out and depressed with the game as of late. To many limits and un-addressed bugs in the last version are road blocks to expanded playablity.
We need a new patch.

JN Jedi Outcast, well what can I say, it is just simple evil fun to kill stormtroopers with a light saber.

I play Dominion II off and on and enjoy it. It really is a fun game despite the micromanagment.

I need more games..... Shrapnel hint hint, release more games!

FarCry is simply one of the funist FPS I have ever played and the graphics are by far the best I have ever seen. I have finished the game on its hardest setting and am now just playing it for the simple pleasure of sniping people from afar. I use the cheat code to hover (Noclip) and then hunt for victims from the air. Loads of fun.

I'm playing SE4 PBC, working on Carrier Battles mod plus 2 PBW games of it.
Plus I'm dabbling in a little bit of old school games: Quarantine and Freespace2.

Freespace 2 was a good game but not as good as Freespace.

Then what about the old tie-fighter game? One of the first games I ever tried on PC (an at the time supreme 384-33mHz).

The difference is, you can play Freespace 1 with Freespace 2, and get the nicer graphics (1024X768 beats 640X480 all the time, sundays included), while the other way around is going to be difficult. (Freespace 2 has also received the blessing of not being translated, unlike Freespace 1, which consequently cannot support any mod and... *Digression alert goes off*)

The Freespace 1 port to FS2 is available on Hard Light Productions (a jewel site for Freespace). The direct link to the port itself is here.

You do not need to have FS1 to play the port by the way: you merely need FS2 and a speedy connection if you want to download all the music/animations/voices (otherwise, it weights a fairly reasonable 15 mb or so).
