Default Patching/ModsError

I am trying to patch from the CD to 2.15 on a new computer. I get a "some files you tried to patch are locked or missing patch not applied". Also there is no Mods folder in my dom2 folder. When I got to prefernces in game there is no where to install mods. So I decided the Mods foldier was the "missing folder" and reisntaleld and tried to apply the patch, it still is not working.

Linux or Windows?

1: Try running as root/Administrator.

2: Make sure the dom2 process is not running.

3: If all else fails, remove and reinstall

"Linux or Windows?" Try again! That's an error message from the Mac OS X patcher.

I had the same problem originally. Here's the fix:
Before running iPatch, it is necessary to Command-I on the installed dominions2 application and set it to read/write.

Regarding mods, you have to create the Mods folder manually within your personal "dominions2" folder in your home directory (*not* the dominions2 application bundle) and then put the mods there. Incidentally, mods are usually packaged in a folder. You need to put the *contents* of the mod's folder into your "mods" directory, not the mod's folder itself.

Good luck!
