I didn't think Risk would count

I think we all must have played that game

And what about Battle Ship? Would it count too?

1) Don’t remember exactly, but it was probably Panzers Forward or WW III, both board/map games with turns snail mailed and nothing more than hex maps with paper markers.
2) See 1
3) See 1
4) See 1
5) Nope
6) Axis and Allies
7) 14 or 15
8) Yes (poorly) started at about 10

To add to the list a little, the Game I had the most fun playing was Jane’s Fleet Command. It’s a shame that it just won’t run on NT OS’s. I also enjoyed Panzer Commander a lot.

1. Lord, its hard to remember. The first actual real published wargame i ever played may have been Battletech, but previous to that we would always make up rules for how legos, star-wars action figures, or war vehicles built from dominos could kill each other. we even used measuring tapes and dice.

2. Battletech

3. Cant remember offhand, but "Bookshelf Games" made a bunch of clasic strategy type games like stratego and such, and i was playing those at a very young age.

4. Battletech

5. yep.

6. So many good ones, its hard to pick.

7. 5 or 10, depending on which answer to number 1 you like.

8. i play poorly. started at 5 or 6ish.

Yes, and around 8, I think. I prefer Go, though.
