Im hoping someone will take off with the "starter project" (found at www.dom2minions.com) and include a tutorial mod. A background screen with flag->nation-name or keypress chart or new tips

That might be a bit tricky since the same screen is behind everything. Maybe if the keychart was done very faintly so it didn't obscure the text over it . . .
