Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
Anyone hear anything from Manuk about being away? He just staled in this game even with 48H, and looks to stale in at least two other games tonight.
And - new turn.

Ok I think we can change back to 24h now, tomorrow I'll be at home at last. BTW Cainehill, it was really unexpected turn of things

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
Heh! No doubt - I'll tell you, I was nervous / excited waiting to see the turn's results. I thought I would win, which meant the utter annihilation of your one army, but.... I revised the orders about 10 times, and am glad I did - every little spell contributed to the victory at the capitol. (The meteor falling from the sky to cut off your retreat I had every confidence in.)
It'll teach you to casually invade the peaceloving (but berserk) Jotuns. We coulda been friends!!!
And of course, if I hadn't had success, it was essentially game over for Jotunheim. Instead now Abysia's future is in doubt - that was quite the expensive invasion for you, and you're doomed! Doomed!

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
New turn.
AND... out of nowhere I get attacked by Catquiet! Here I am, my little Machaka army is strolling along through the countryside, checking out the sights and smells, and out of nowhere this vampire (dressed as a queen, which I don't think she is, though she may think so) attacks. And eats all my people!
[Injured scout gets off note to his God before succumbing to the pain... "Avoid the south, it sucks to get eaten!"]
Machaka is currently in a period of mourning (the mighty prophet, who was striving to reach the coveted Hall of Fame), fell during the malicious and unprovoked attack.
Well, I hope the border has been established.

Yes, the Cult of the Vampire Queen persists, old, moldy, and passe as it is. At least she makes sense for only a few themes under the mods we're using, although Carrion Woods is unfortunately one of them... where are those wooden stakes when you need them?
Not that I can claim any special originality in pretender design - although I didn't bother to make another choice after this became a modded game - I just nerfed my GK design a bit

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
I guess from a newbie perspective, I read alot on these forums that the majority of the pretender designs were VQ or GK (at least before the Zen mods). And I guess since reading that, I never tried to use them. I figure if that's the "typical" pretender design, I wanted to try and learn on the "not so typical" pretender design, everything other than those 2. Of course, with not much luck yet.

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
The VQ isn't a very good pretender with or without the Zen mods. Illwinter raised the point cost and lowered the dominion on the VQ. However, I am trying something new (for me) with Pangaea and I needed a nasty SC to keep me alive while I test it out.

If I just had those reserve devils from the capital in that fight... But Abysia is not beaten yet, just enter my dominion and you'll be surprised

Re: Sunken_Treasure : New Shahrivar game on Moseha
So - everyone okay with going back to 24 hour for the next 5 - 15 turns or so? If no one objects, I'll ask Ironhawk to set us back, until such point turns start requiring too heavy an investment of time for people.
