Re: What Is The Status Of The Star Wars Mod?
The Laser Array should be more sunken in, instead of the lines looking rippley going away from the center, they should look like rays going away from the main emitter. Overall, the second picture looks more like the original except for how much the array sticks out.

There's a good pic.

Re: What Is The Status Of The Star Wars Mod?
Fantastic! Thanks Atrocities and everyone else who constantly make my purchase of SEIV worth so much.
I can't wait to use the completed shipset(s). I'm hoping for a Republic clone set and a Seperatist set too.

Take Two.
I am not at all happy with these.

Darken them, bigger texture...Might help.

Re: What Is The Status Of The Star Wars Mod?
I think the main problem with the array is the ridge you have running along the edge of it, it's too thick. Make it thinner and lower and it should look better. Also, a TINY ridge around the center line, like a ring, not so the center is elevated, would look better.
But out of those last two, the left one has the proper shape, whereas the right one has the perfect texture...
Good job on all the other ships though!

Re: What Is The Status Of The Star Wars Mod?
Look, I can not do anything about the dish. I have to find a work around or scrap the idea all together and go with someone elses 3d model. That will suck as it will ruin the continuity of the set. I Am thinking about the first one from above with some PSP tweaking.

Re: What Is The Status Of The Star Wars Mod?
What if you copy and scale down the whole cannon structure there...
Place the small copy in the middle of the indentation, and fade the radial lines out a bit?
That, plus some rounding off on the faceted perimeter of the whole thing should get it looking pretty close to the movie screenshot there.
