The AI will add one type of weapon from Majority group and one type of weapon from Secondary group. For each group, the lowest Pick number has priority. With your example, if the AI was weapon family 3 available, it will NEVER add any weapons of family 9, 8 or 25 to the ship design. Once weapon family 1 is available, it will be the only weapon used.

So add from lowest tech to higest in other other words. Or will the AI just automatically choose the best tech weapon?

It will pick whichever number is higher in the list..even if that means replacing the APB XIIs with MB Is.

5 Low tech - game start
