Re: Titles and Phrases for Dominions_3
Dominions 3: Ages of Faith — My understanding is that Dom3 will replace national themes with eras for all players in a game. "Ages of Faith" is a play on "the Age of Faith," a common label for the Middle Ages.

Re: Titles and Phrases for Dominions_3
From a chat on #SpaceEmpires yesterday regarding subtitles for SE games:
[15:37] DavidGervais: "SE6: Return of the Avatar" hmmm.
I don't see why you couldn't use that one for Dom3...

Re: Titles and Phrases for Dominions_3
Hmm. As i recall aristotle said something to the effect of "the gods too are fond of a joke"
Seems like a good endorsement, as long as the prospective audience was reasopnably intelligant.
or you could use Homer: "All men have need of the gods."
so too have we need of dominions.
And one last thing-
I am 14 yrs old. I am Canadian.
I have encountered people from India, England, Germany, Sweden, Iceland, South Africa, Australia, the United States, Mexico. Playing Dominions. People that are 12 years old, people that are 60 years old. People that do not speak English, and often cannot grasp the word umbrella. They are united by this game. They universally recognize "Nagot gick fel". This is something to transcend the boundaries of time and space, as only a God might do.
Praise be to Illwinter.
(and feel free to send a free copy of Dom3 to this person. Thanks.)

Re: Titles and Phrases for Dominions_3
Let's see:
Dominions 3: The Mandate of Heaven - Taken from the Chinese concept, obviously. It's appropriate, since, unlike Divine Right, it can legitimise revolution, struggle and war. An Asian concept is also nice, since Dom 3 will have more nations inspired by Asian cultures.
Dominions 3: Sorcery and Steel - If national units are more useful versus magic, then this title might be suitable. Sorcery technically refers to only half of the Dominions magic schools, but it just sounds cool. 'Steel' could refer to the elemental magics as well, I suppose.
