An author, and a good one in my opinion. Should read his "Dahak" series, and what was the other one...right the "Starfire" series, real good books.

Download the Nosral Confederacy (a shipset based upon the Phong) and the Tyrellian Imperium, an organic looking shipset I created! (The Nosral are the better of the two )

On which note
Baen Free Library
They publish his work and have a few of them for free download, the theory being you read the early works and then buy the rest.
For Weber, well I read the two Honor Harrington ones there on a recommendation. They are well written and hard to put down. BUT Stevie Wonder could see the plot twists and Ray Charles could predict what's going to happen. It's not subtle and there are no real surprises. Weber likes foreshadowing. A lot, almost to the point of ruining the books.
Plus Honor is never wrong. As in never. Whatever she's suspects or fears will happen.
Still I'd recommend looking at them, some people love them, some don't, but they are well written.

Could you edit that humor into SE4, so I might have a clue what you are talking about.

Not really sure how I would edit book references to specific characters into game references.

Re: OT: The *Real Reason* (Humor)
You want plot twists? Ryk Spoors' 'Digital Knight', also in the Baen Free Library.
(By the end, I had *No* idea what was coming next. Oh, and don't read the reviews. All the ones I've seen pretty much ruin it with spoilers.)

She hasn't twigged to the subtle Treecat plot to conquer the Manticoran Alliance by "bonding" with Heads of State and other important figures though has she? Sinister little bastards. I'm only reading them now for the one where Nimitz' evil plan is unveiled, and he slits Honor's throat while she sleeps...

Re: OT: The *Real Reason* (Humor)
Hmmm deep evil scheme and betrayal against Honor's character shields...
Sadly it's not a contest, Honor wins it. Ohh it might cost her a leg or a lacerated spleen ad certainly a dozen or so bridge officers will die, but as they only appeared in that book no-ones bothered. That and loads of Haven dreadnoughts that will all explode spectacularly.
