Ah, interesting. that helps. i'm not sure I tested that exact scenario... I'll try that now.

I did test a bunch of similar scenarios and couldn't reproduce the crash. I hope that exact repro case does the trick. *crosses fingers*

im thinkin its something to do with my router, ill disconnect it tomorrow and see if it works

ok, cool. Also, if you don't mind, post here right after you try to connect. That way I can look at the server logs to see if anything interesting happened on the server at the time you connected...

I want to figure this out so that you can play online! =)

Sorry I didn't respond before now, I was in a bit of a hurry to get packed I was running alittle late but I am back now. I was running the game in windowed mode and I just hit the x in the upper right corner to close it.

i disconnected my router and tried to just connect with a straight connection from the modem, even that didnt solve the problem, at this point i have run out of ideas as to what might cause this to be happening, i go online fine with every other game i own.

Are you connecting through a firewall proxy? That usually causes issues.
