The op fire function is something I never use anyway...
It used to good to use in online play against those gamers who run junk at you to use up your OP fire.
But since the "special" op fire was put in...that has become a moot point.
Both games are good...end of discussion...
no game wars please...as opposed to wargames...

The Opfire is good in small battles. It makes big battles interminable and so I don't use it.

Opfire is o.k. in that it allows me to keep MBT's from wasting shots on soft skinned vehicles in the begining of a turn when the AI runs them up to suck up my fire power, then advance their MBT's. It's no biggie that winSPMBT doesn't have it IMHO, two different 'games' so I use two different game plans.

The one thing that I would like to see in winSPMBT is the ability in campaigns to purchase or replace combat losses outside of the country that I'm playing as core units.

But all in all a really great game. It sure has come a long way from when I found SP:1 and got hooked. Looking forward to the WW2 version!!!
