Don't forget LCDs produce much less heat
This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the season and where you are... let's just say that in the summer I WISH I had LCD displays for my computers. |

I have a big old CRT taking up tons of space, spitting out heat, shooting electrons through me, etc. However, it was much cheaper than LCDs  |

CRTs are cheaper, but if you have the money, you should go with the LCD monitor. Crisper display, perfect geometry, takes up less space, and can be brighter.
