it's an internal modem
i assume it's plugged in ok, since it did work before i formatted.
i don't have any pets to chew on the cable, and the cable works, i checked that.

i did choose it manually, and i know what modem needs to be installed, remember it worked before.

i get a message here, i can't remember what it exactly said but it was something like "Port is already open"
i'm going to remove the modem from my computer and try installing it all over again, maybe it got loose or something.
