Tell me about it Trip! How many times have I said the same thing. What is really hard to leave is a campaign!

You fight your way through a battle, do well or not well, then say, "Well, I'll just start this one to see how it is..." A few hours later you are in the same situation!

That is what we are...gamers...it's in the blood!

Yeah, those Marine air-jockeys are something else.

I remember hearing a Korean Marine vet tell of a Skyraider that swooped over his position, perhaps 200 feet or less off the ground. He had a clear view of the pilot as he banked, and the pilot made eye contact with the Marine for a split second, with his left hand raised and his thumb up, and smiling.

It was an event that encouraged him to continue the nightmarish push toward the coast.

My secret to getting that objective furthest to the right was sending one platoon on a flanking maneuver around to the right up that draw.

THey got pretty wasted and the rest of the Marines finally made it to them but they held that hex against nearly impossible odds.

DV 3482 to 265 and all the flags. I held back some air power until late in the game. Wish I had more napalm.
Retook the right flag on turn 18 while chasing off the remnants. Uphill fight all the way, pun intended.
Where were the mines WB? Loosing your touch or suckering me in on the next one? lol
Thanks for a fun one.

Camo guys, this one looks good too thanks to you.

Nah, no mines. The Chinese were not really that well dug into the hill at the time. They were getting situated when the Marines decided to pay them a "visit."

The last of the three will be going up today. This is a little different also.

In the first fight, you have single man units. In this one, regular squad units. Now in the last one, I've taken the Marine "fireteam" concept and developed it for a defensive fight.

On the next morning, December 6th, part of the battalion was ordered to hold off any Chinese who might come over the hill with the intent of disrupting the Marine withdrawal to the south.

So what you have in the last one are "fire team" of a platoon holding off the Chinese advance. It gives you a new perspective on how a fireteam works.

For those who might not know, in the last years of WW2, the Marines developed a squad of 13 men, a squad leader and three fireteams, each based around a BAR man.

Look for it today or tomorrow, J2K
