24 is fine atm, but it is beginning to pile up, so i'd say move to 48 sometime soonish, though it doesn't have to be yet.

edit3: connections are just being flaky - i'll try to connect, and the game will lock up. then i'll immediately try to connect again, and be able to

Sheap has told me that his network is a little flaky at the moment but that the server is up and running. His recommendation is that everyone play thier turns offline today to minimize exposure to the network oddities. So just log in, download your turn, and log out. Play your turn offline and then just connect back to the server and it will immediately upload.

Thanks. I was hoping to do more damage but getting laid off in RL just after our war started sorta made me lose focus. I'll getcha next time!
