Re: Crazy Game - PBEM - Any takers?
Hmm... I would think there'd be a way to mod the map file to change the independent strength. But I don't know where or how. I'm all for a tougher indy strength (higher than 3 at least). Maybe removing the "#scenario" line gives the capabality to set indy strength and research levels? Just a guess, I'm at work so I can't test this myself.

Re: Crazy Game - PBEM - Any takers?
Ok. I experimented, and if I delete the scenario line, then I can specify the usual game settings. I don't know much about .map editing. Does anybody know if it changes other stuff?
I have attached the updated map file, even though you don't need it (according to Alneyan, and I believe him). Note that you need to change the .txt extension to .map for it to be useful.

I sent in my pretender also.
If'n any of you haven't played on maps that have pre-placed forts, you should note that neutral troops never patrol. Thus, you can siege the castle with a single commander, resulting in a nice bit of an extra cash flow. So, you should not be surprised if a certain nation with flying, very fast scouts has more money than you would expect... If there weren't enough reasons to gank Alneyan otherwise

Re: The Ganking of Alneyan
Bah, I am a Prétendant, not a Prétendeur or some such. I pretend to Godhood, and do not spread out lies or rumours. That, and you are committing a misdemeanour Pasha. You are not supposed to hamper free trade, by unduly favouring one particular party to the detriment of another. So, please let the invisible Hand of Gilgamesh work unhindered.
By the way, did I spell Gilgamesh right for my Pretender... I'll have to check that out. Gilgameth just doesn't sound right.
