This is where I bank my hope on national summons.
They are similiar to national troops, require reseach and are hopefuly competive with other magic boogies.

I think national summons gonna be monsters, not troops equipped with armor/weapons. Anyways lets wait and see! .. but Im gonna implent my ideas to my total conversion mod for sure. I think its gonna be neat.

Re: National Troops
National summons would be great.
In dom2, some national troops can matter in the end game. Mostly ones with an uber bless, but still...might as well do something with all that gold

Re: National Troops
Dirigible Mastodons!
I must explore this concept further.
A mastodon or mammoth is easy. A dirigible is arigid airship. Simple. Ergo, a drigible mastodon is... a rigid, flying, really cold elephant. I suppose this unit's primary use in-game would be the interception of the new Ry'leh stardemonbred.

No, the main use would be the same as for Shedu, or any other flying unit with Trample. Mainly: "Is it a bird? Is it a cloud? Wait, it's comi..." SPLAT!
Compare it to Gifts from Heavens dropping a whale on you.
