It's June, are we close to gold?

Yeah I also had the same idea, I guess the final product will be v3.00+ .. and the latest is 2.80

I think that we wont see our Doms III. copy before mid july.

Mid july? Not to be negative but I think it's gonna take at least to the end of july.

I know very little about game development, but I think version numbers do not proceed linearly, so when the Illwinter thinks the game is ready they might skip alot of decimals. It may seem that the game is slowly making progress, but that can also mean there's only bug killing and beta testing left. But with a high probability, I'm utterly wrong.

Maybe, but so far they've been quite linear.

Okay, I have to admit that I'm always fanatically optimistic about these things, so I often tend to get disappointed, when waiting something to be published.

The less optimistic we are about the release dates the less bietterly disapointed we will be when it chimes in late.

Ah well the football WC gonna start in a week and im gonna watch all of the matches

.. also Im going to holiday after that for 2 weeks, so until the end of july I wont have too much freetime anyways. Hopefully my copy of Doms 3. will wait for me at home when I am gonna get back in late july/early august.

Gold wont mean we see our copies. I think it just means that Shrapnel gets a "ok I think this is good to release" copy. Then they start on the production and delivery so its abit later that we see our games.

But with gold, we should soon after that see a demo. Im really eager to see a demo released. That will start alot of good conversations all over the net. We can all decide if we want to swarm out onto the net shouting its praise

I know that. That's why I'm eager to see the game go gold because I know a demo will follow shortly thereafter.
