They do normally take a fair amount of real time, anywhere from 1-3 years. The last big one I did (Red Snow) took about 2.5 years at least.

It seems to work with firefox also. At least I downloaded it in just a minute wirh firefox and no fancy gimmicks.

You will need to open it in IE to see the color shading on the hexes. I cannot get Firfox to show it properly. In IE is is really clean compared to FF.

You are basically playing with teams and a referee. Movement is conducted on an operational map and then any contact/combat is transferred to WinSPMBT and the players fight out the tactical part. Aftre the fighting, master OOB's are updated and play proceeds to the next operational turn.

It usually takes a very lengthy committment from players for this to keep things rolling. Previous ones have lasted 1-3 years in real time.
