Well, here it is. Right next to Spartan: Total Warrior.

The box is pretty light. It doesn't feel like there's a very substantial manual in there. Details on the back are sparse. I'm not impressed with the packaging, but it's Space Empires in a retail store. That's something I never thought I'd see when I downloaded the shareware version of SEII all those years ago.

From the looks of it, I wouldn't call it real retail.

Nitche computer stores and back water garage stores is not Best Buy or Walmart.

I like to refer to it has Hidden Retail.

J&R isn't really what I'd call a niche store. At least not as small a niche as you're thinking of.

Looking at the image, it appears that Strategy First ships SE4 in either cases of 6 or 12. I'll lean towards 12 since they would want to move product faster - but looking at the image, I count only 11 copies of Space Empires IV left on the shelf.
