I just swung by Strategy First's website, and there was a nice big banner across the top of the page:
"Crush your enemies....and create an empire! Space Empires V Coming Soon"
Is this new, or something old that I just never noticed?

I rather hope SEV will be released in September. I have not bought a new game in a long while. I'm ready to fall in love with the 4X genre all over again.

That is an older statement. This "A Space Empires Month" is the latest. It states "Space Empires V is due to be released late September, 2006."
