SEV: What strategy do you use for these ships?

I would also like to use "Transport" or "Cargo Transport", but they are not options. Neither is "Unarmed Civilian Vessel", or several other categories that I might actually use.

Is it going to screw up the AI if I put together my own list of Design Types?

Do I need to add one more to the set {Aggressive, Neutral, Defensive, PLAYER }, and have that one be just for a convenient list of my choosing, or can I just edit DesignTypes.txt?

Is that ok, or is there some hidden thing that's gonna make all my fighters stop launching, or prevent landing troops or something like that?

No you can add your own types if you want -just note you'll need to start a new game for them to show up though.
