coobe - I'm sorry, very sorry. We (collectively as a company) have a bizarre sense of humor. We often poke fun at what are actually extremely sensitive issues. I don't think we've ever been known to be politically correct, but if it helps any, we ridicule each other on a daily basis. I think it's how we maintain a semblance of sanity. Again, I'm sorry. Our intent was not to offend.

Suffering from a form of agoraphobia I have to say i had a big laugh when I read the shipping notice. I can not speak for coobe, but for me, humour at the expense of my own tragedy, even acidulous and sarcastic, is one of the best antidotes against psychopathologies.
And another thing: where is my dom3 copy? I waaaaant it noooow!

Sorry for going OT, but what is agoraphobia?

Fear of open places. Or then fear of crowds. Forgot which.

Wikipedia to the rescue: Agoraphobia. If ever you encounter a word you don't know what is, wikipedia is the best place to start
E.g, Try Dominions 2

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
My buddies and I all pre-ordered on the first day it was available. I here in Virginia haven't received it yet (UPS does not deliver on weekends, at least not here), but one of my friends got his on Friday.
I was somewhat confused by that until I read the conversation in the last few posts... my friend lived in Cary, NC., so for all I know, one of the Shrapnel guys might have dropped it off in his mailbox to save shipping.
He has been spending the entire weekend sending us annoying little zingers via email. "Did you know that Sauromatia is not the same thing as early-era C'tis?" "I really like what they've done with 'Enigma of Steel' Ulm, don't you?"
The bastard.

I can guarantee we didn't drop it off...we WERE in Cary, but as of last July we're now two hours drive away. He must have recieved his order via US Postal Service on Saturday, since the first shipments went out Friday.

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
OUCH. Not only can I not pick it up, but you are leering and jeering at me from my favorite spot in the US! Not fair! I love Wilmington. The downtown area is beautiful and there are so many beaches nearby. If I could live where I'd like, there's no question it would be in Wilmington. I do miss those days when there was free public beach access at Carolina and Kure, though. Too many people around now to have that. Oh yeah, and when you could drive on Kure at night hours (for free!) as well. Those days are sorely missed. I blame all the people from the lesser states, wanting to move in and ruin our lifestyle.

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
... the anticipation... wohoo!
there's just one thing that feels wrong about this: sitting in scandinavia and having to wait for a swedish game to be shipped all the way from Wilmington (which i'm sure will turn out to be the place in us with the slowest post office).
oh well, i have some very busy weeks ahead at work, so it's maybe just as well.
-and gz to illwinter for what looks like a very worthy sequel. yay!
