OT: Movies You Have Seen Lately

Found an old sci-fi movie called "Supernova" and saw that i didn´t heard about it and never watched it (2001)... now i have.... and i want those hours of my life back! What an horrible movie!

The movie simply does not make any sense! More plot holes than swiss cheese!

If you didn´t see it, don´t make the mistake... keep away from it...

Supernova was one of the SERIES of movies from Europe that for some reason was the ONLY movie in the series that was made. Kinda like Screamers - one chapter in a much greater story line.

In Supernova the one thing you need to keep in mind is that the bad guy is no longer human, he is becoming DEATH, and with him he is bringing the end of the all. An alien supernova bomb that now activated will destroy the entire galaxy.

Last night, my wife and I watched "United 93". Very well done, very strong.

I highly recommend it. In fact, this is something that everyone should see so that something like this is never forgotten. As a movie, it was very good. The fact that it's a true story of what happened on flight United 93 is even more moving.

To me, I got a very strong message of what it means to be an American. Even though I'm a Canadian, I've always had a very strong sense of respect for my southern neigbors. The actions of these few people on this plane, for me, demonstrate why it is that the USA is the most powerful country in the world: you have a sense of the patriotic that NO one comes close to.

Very good. I highly recommend it. And if anyone says that they don't want to see it because they don't want to 'relive' 9/11, then they need to see it.

Feast

This Project Green Light movie was never released in theaters but is now out on DVD and is a real cult horror movie for those who enjoy dark comedy horrors.

Its bloody, has no real pot, full of action, has humor, and keeps you guessing.

Good rental movie.

I saw "The Departed" last night and enjoyed very much. An excellent movie all around.

MI III
Not a bad movie visually but one very weak plot. Whoever directed this movie knew what he was doing as there were some very well done visuals. The plot was so thin that it made Tom Cruise look stupid. There was one line by L. Fishburn (sp) that I truely loved though... "I would bleed on the flag to keep the stripes red."

Equalibrium
I mentioned this movie before but wanted to bring it up again as it is truly one of the best movies I have seen in years. Read the reviews of this movie on amazon.com

Thank You For Smoking
Simpmly one of the more brillant dark humor dramas I have seen in a while. A delightfully clever movie based upon a best selling book. MOD were funny and could be a movie in their own right. I enjoyed this movie and intend to buy the DVD when I can aford it.

Lucky Number Sleven
An interesting revenge flick with some long sequences that could put even the most hyperactive kid to sleep. I think this was a short story at some point. The movie isn't bad but does have some very slow moments. Over all I think they didn't know what direction to take this movie in, is it a dark comedy or a serious revenge flick...

Equilibrium: This movie was a total surpise to me, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. A damn fine flick.Christian had an excellent range, BTW, and I seriously recommend "The Machinist". Seems slow, but all comes together so well at the end.

Thank You For Smoking: Damn, somebody was dead-on with this one. It's scary to know that these kinds of people ARE really out there !!!

I haven't seen the other two yet, but they're on my to-do list...

I don't think it takes a thin plot to make Tom Cruise look stupid; he's very capable of doing that on his own
