				 Where are they!!?!??!
Ok, so I've ordered the game, with any luck I'll have it by the time I get home from work tonight (tues) so now just one things missing......MODS!!!! No offense to anyone, great game and all but when I started playing SEIV it was like 2004, so basically all the best mods were out. So I never even played the stock game. And now all I want to play is mods. lol So with this in mind.....anyone working or planning on any? |

You can bet there are a few mods in the works. Its best to let the people working on those mods tell you about them though.

				 Re: Where are they!!?!??!
I'm working on a TDM mod, or, well, one race at the moment...
What do you think should be name of the mod? I have AIM in mind (AI mod) because it is not tied to names like TDM was. TDM was created by many people and I find it unfair to have my name in it but not those of the other modders.

The acronym AIM is already taken by AOL Instant Messenger. I don't think you want your mod associated with that, do you? hehe |

If you want to stay away from AIM you could go with CAI, competent AI? |

AIX Mod - AI eXtendended Mod (or whatever with cool looking "X").
On the second thought, IBM already owns this (tm), and you can be sued
Or better: BOFH - not Bastard Operator From Hell as you might think first, but "Better Opponent For Human" mod
SPAM is nice too - Serious Play Against the Machine. |

				 Re: Where are they!!?!??!
I'm thinking seriously about porting devnullmod to SE5. Most of the logic is the same, it seems, so the port should mostly be straightforward. We'll see. |

				 Re: Where are they!!?!??!
Mephisto, I think you should retain the TDM name. The name has become a brand at this point and has moved beyond it's original meaning as a simple abbreviation. People know what they are getting with TDM mod, even if they don't know what T, D, and M stand for.
 My .02 anyway.

				 Re: Where are they!!?!??!
Nobody has actually had the ability to work on mods yet except the betas (and maybe the Aussies for a couple of days), and the betas may still be constrained by the "official" 10/16 release date. |

Once the game is confirmed on the shelves I am sure the people who have been working on mods will post info about thier fine work. Have faith, the SE Gods are smiling on us.
