I played as Pangaea MA in the full version, because in Dom 2 they were kind of like "my" nation, if you know what I mean. I think their story is what I liked the most, but I digress. I chose them for my first game, because I knew them well and could thus focus on the smaller changes that you might not normally notice when trying an entirely new nation.

As far as my first Dom game ever goes, I think it was C'tis on Dom 2. I had learned of the game in the Tom vs Bruce article in CGW. I chose C'tis, because why wouldn't I want to play a nation of lizardmen? Of course, I later found out that their troops are not very good. I chose a Wyrm for my pretender, because that just felt right. Ah, the good ole' days.

In Dominions PPP I first played Ermor (ashen empire, not that there was any other kind), because undead hordes are cool. My first MP was with Man.

With the Dom3 demo I first tried Agartha briefly, then Atlantis for next few games.

Atlantis. Wanted to see the Basalt Kings and Living Pillars. I was too "ZOMG SQUEE!" to form any coherent way of doing things. My frogzards got slaughtered by lion tribe archers. Then I tried Agartha...

The very first nation I played in the Dominions series C'tis. I played the "europe map" of Dom I. I captured the province next to mine and found the Cedar Pillars there...

...I was 120% Sold.

Full version. LA R'lyeh, as the concept of insanity appealed to me.

Went from them, to EA T'ien C'hi, to MA Mictlan, now experimenting with EA Niefelheim.
