Gothmog is the Chief Balrog in Morgoth's personal guard. He is renowned for slaying Feanor and Fingon, two of the High Kings of the Noldor Elves, and has never been defeated in combat. With his whip of flame and awesome fiery breath he saved his master from Ungoliant's rage. This evil demon is normally found on dungeon level 95, and moves very quickly. He may breathe fire or plasma, and is also magical, casting spells which terrify, blind, confuse, summon Greater Undead or summon Greater Demons; 1 time in 3. He can open doors, bash down doors and push past weaker monsters. He resists lightning and fire. He resists plasma. He cannot be confused or slept. He is ever vigilant for intruders, which he may notice from 1000 feet. He usually appears with escorts. He may carry up to 18 exceptional objects. He can hit to burn with damage 9d12, hit to burn with damage 9d12, crush to attack with damage 8d12, and touch to drain charges.
