So long you didn't restart because some players have silly start positions...
It a great pity that i'd a good start position.
I see trouble coming with old/new game turns files come together etc.

Nah. It has nothing to do with player positions. I actually like my starting position. However, I think it is a bad idea to play the game with this number of players without being able to turn a missing player AI. That could ruin the fun.

You're not alone I had probably the best possible start, a capital with 6 neighbours and 2 vp close.

Haha ... looking at my restart turn, I suppose it's thematic that Yomi be surrounded by barren mountains in the beginning =).

So, every mid-summer turn, VP's are accumulated. This is going to be a fairly quick game? Any theories on the turn count at game's end? My guess is 48 turns if the game is starting at summer, or 54 turns if the game starts in the winter.
Thoughts?

It starts in spring... I think VPs tick over in four months (between turns 4 and 5)! Or maybe even a month earlier, I forget... Turn 52 is my guess, which puts me in idealogical agreement with YellowCactus...

I was sort of thinking the game would end around Turn 60 or 72. I think it will be hard for a player to get 3 VP provinces early in the game, but we shall see. My hope is that the game ends while it is still fun and not a mega turn chore.
