I wasn't able to see them in the game. The images were the stock Amokie images. Amokie model showed up when I made a battleship when it should have been a Vort'cha.

I used DOGA to export the models. I don't believe it can import them.

The problem with DOGA is texturing. The ships look like cartoons and the x-y-z axis's are always funky. I was hoping to get some help on this.

I still may be able to give you a hand.

First, I need to apologize, I forgot that I had run a batch conversion on the files - .x to .x.

Attached is a zip that you can put into your mod folder.
Run a quickstart as the Abbidon and you'll see your battleship in place of their frigate.

I'll do some research into DOGA and get back to you...

Hey AT, I looked at your models, they are nice. Really nice.

I loaded them into 3D Action Reducer to see if I could reduce the poly count, but it didn't do much.

Might I suggest you try a simple model in a different program, like Anim8or? That's what I use for my humble modeling needs. I export the models as .obj (this format seems to keep the texture info better) I then load the model into LithUnwrap and save it as a .x

anyways, the model meshes are very nice. keep up the fantastic work.

Cheers!

Actually, the poly count on his ships aren't too far out of line with some of the stock sets.

Atrocities, I need to know what file types you can import into your workflow. I'm working on your set now to get it ready to use in-game. Do you want me to post the completed set or send you a pm when I'm done?

Yes Kana I actually meant Action 3D Reducer, I got it from The Game Creators site last Christmas. not a bad little program. it does seem to be specifically designed to reduce .3ds file poly counts, when I load .x it does not seem to reduce anything. Works with .3ds files though.

Cheers!

Please by all means post the set. I appreciate any and all help. I have never tried to import anything into DOGA before. I think it has to go through Metasq and be converted into something DOGA can open first. Its been a very long time since I used Metasq so I am not sure even if I have it.

Here you go!

I set it up as a mod again for ease of testing. I also included the 3ds files so if you want to try another modeler you won't have to start over.

Oh, before I forget, great job on those ships!

[Edit] I forgot to mention, you might want to move the engine glow on the light cruiser. It is showing up in front of the ship and it appears that the game engine uses the glow as the pivot point for turning.
