Varu entered the sacred chamber, he couldn't see anything but felt her presence.

- Spies are bringing bad news my Lady... local chieftains won't join, Clans of Bolag are preparing against us. Our forces met some resistance on the north, first blood has been shed already, war is close, very close...

Silence answered.

Varu felt uneasy and rised his head... he shouldn't.

Agrajag, it's a strange thing. I can't see your message in the 'my home' tab of the forum, even if the number of 'received messages' increased by one. Can you resend it?

Oh, sorry! I didn't notice you wrote 'one of you'.
And yeah, I got your 4 turn all okay.

On an open dry plain, two forces of men were nearing each other with the intent to kill.
One of the forces was composed of men defending their homeland, defiant against invaders they considered no more than greedy thugs.
The other force was better disciplined and had blessing from one that would call himself a god.

Mialm the chronicler writes:
"Humans living above ground would be worthy foes, if they were not divided. In a direct confrontation of equally sized forces, Agharthan shield-wall and superior training prevails over their often lackluster forces. Yet the unit I am accompanying is too small to take the fight further. We are told that the riches from caves bought us a unit of mercenaries to join us in a few days. I can only hope the scum do not plan to just take the gold and take off. I do not trust humans from above the ground, and so do many oracles."
