Im not sure about it. I've heard of some patch problems causing crashes, this may just be on a server game... I had a PBEM game where differences in patch made weird things happen for a turn or so (battle results summary did not match what happened when you watched the battle).

Well, answered my own question... when I tried to open the turn (using 3.04) my game crashed. So i suppose ill have to patch to take the turn.

Near as I can tell, it seems that EW already patched. I tried to run off 3.04, got an error, installed the patch and it ran. I dunno, maybe somehow I did something screwy the first time I ran, and that something had nothing to do w/ the patch version. Anyhow, I'm patched and running, and it seems fine.

I get a CTD when I try play my turn. I updated to 3.06.
However, I created my pretender in 3.04.

i created the game with 3.06 so i guess you should patch first. pretenders should be fine.

Any hope of cycling through more than 1 turn/day for these first few turns?

I'm probably dreaming given our around the world timezones, but otoh, it shouldn't take long at all to work out the orders for these early turns...

My game crash when I try to do my turn. I've come to the conclusion that it is the map, as I can't open it ingame when trying to start a new game. Could you send them again to me?
