Re: Shield Hit Effects Test.
Of those 3, I'd choose the second one, by far. It appears more "natural" than the spiky third one or the way too square first one.

Re: Shield Hit Effects Test.
Third: Ugh.
Second: Realistic, but needs a better glow fade.
First: Looks neat and futuristic.
Going with first until two has a better glow effect.

Re: Shield Hit Effects Test.
I agree with Renegade 13 that the second one looks the best. The first one is too square and it looks like there's a square object attached to the end of the beam, in my opinion it doesn't really look like shields. The third one is good for electrical attacks like lightning rays and electric discharges but seems too fuzzy for other attacks.

Re: Shield Hit Effects Test.
I'd have to go with the second one. It has a much more "natural effect" llok to it.

Re: Shield Hit Effects Test.
2nd seems the best to me. Squares just don't look right in the 1st and 3rd is ok

Re: Shield Hit Effects Test.
I like the second one. The first one might look nifty on a Borg cube, and the third one I think suits organic ships better.
